Data Centre Build - Cold aisle containment

Phoenix optics successfully completes a cold aisle containment installation.

The project consisted of the installation and baying together of 22 cabinets with overhead cieling units and a sliding door. A grid of 500mm cable basket and Warren & Brown fibre optic cable ducting raceway was fitted above the cabinets.

2,520 Cat6a links and 1,536 OM4 multi-mode fibre optic links were installed, terminated and tested giving 10Gb/s capability over the copper and up to 100Gb/s over the fibre. All the fibre optic LC connectors were machine polished to ensure consistent highest quality polishes. Phoenix were also contracted to install the active equipment and patch approximately 3,000 patch cables.
